Our story - Patrice Valenti, Your Spirulina Producer on the Côte d'Azur
From passion to the farm: exceptional artisanal French spirulina
My name is Patrice Valenti, and behind every sachet of artisanal French spirulina you hold in your hands is a story of passion, science and love for the Côte d'Azur.
It all started with a curiosity about micro-algae, fuelled by my scientific baccalaureate and my BTS in biotechnology and agri-food. Fascinated by the benefits of spirulina, I decided to grow it myself, here in Roquebrune-sur-Argens in the Var.
In my 2,000 m² aquaculture farm, nestled in a sun-drenched market-garden greenhouse, I produce pure, sustainable spirulina.
With purified spring water, manual harvesting and gentle drying at 42°C, every stage is designed to preserve the nutrients - proteins, iron, phycocyanin - while respecting nature.
My eco-responsible methods reduce the amount of water and energy used, because for me, growing spirulina also means protecting our beautiful region.
