Our History – Patrice Valenti, Your Spirulina Producer on the French Riviera

Passion on the farm: exceptional French artisanal spirulina

My name is Patrice Valenti, and behind every packet of French artisanal spirulina you hold in your hands, there is a story of passion, science and love for the French Riviera.

It all started with a curiosity about microalgae, fuelled by my science baccalaureate and my BTS in biotechnology and agri-food. Fascinated by the benefits of spirulina, I decided to cultivate it myself, here in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, in the Var region.

In my 2,000 m² aquaculture farm, nestled under a sun-drenched greenhouse, I produce pure and sustainable spirulina.

With purified spring water, manual harvesting and gentle drying at 42°C, each step is designed to preserve nutrients – proteins, iron, phycocyanin – while respecting nature.

My eco-responsible methods reduce water and energy consumption, because for me, cultivating spirulina also means protecting our beautiful region.
